Dawn light comes, exposing her skin.

Sunlight reveals her body, as if it was a valley with inked paintings from a past he’ll never know.

His eyes wander, contemplating the beauty of her dusky skin.

His hands, lured and hypnotized, travel across a border made of air, reaching her.

Her skin is made of poetry, being read by his fingers.

He gently embraces her and receives binary messages are sent from her heart.

Her hair is an ocean of waves, he dives in it. Her perfume fills his lungs and shakes his heart.

For him, time ceases to exist and the world stops, as he enjoys the precious moment.

She makes him one with the universe.

Just need a script called youtube-dl, it’s already in some repositories, for example, in ubuntu you could do apt-get install youtube-dl, but it’s not always updated.

Let’s download it from source, since it’s always easy to update.

Either with curl or wget:

$ sudo curl https://yt-dl.org/latest/youtube-dl -o /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl

or wget:

sudo wget https://yt-dl.org/downloads/latest/youtube-dl -O /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl

$ sudo chmod a+rx /usr/local/bin/youtube-dl

and that’s it.

Example: Downloading a video playlist

$ youtube-dl --extract-audio --audio-format mp3 --prefer-ffmpeg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flls8VaEEZc

Example: Downloading a video playlist as mp3

$ youtube-dl --extract-audio --audio-format mp3  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flls8VaEEZc

If it give an error about avconv not being to date, you can manually update it or you could try using ffmpeg

Creating an alias

Since i only need only the music (most of times), i created an alias and appended it to $HOME/.bashrc to make it easier:

$ alias piratearmp3='youtube-dl --extract-audio --audio-format mp3 '

And use it like this:

$ piratearmp3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flls8VaEEZc

Found you alone, seeking shelter. Under my truck, out in the cold.

First I ignored you, like a man ignores a street cat.

But then she brings you to me, and you become a guest.

Street cat no more, you had a home.

A home who’s owner would fail you later.

You fetched plastic bags, and other tiny things. Like dogs do.

Traditional wake alarms wouldn’t work, like you.

Thanks for keeping me company, you little gray stripped street cat.

I’ll see you later.

When trying to install or update composer, it gives that error

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method Fxp\Composer\AssetPlugin\Package\Version\VersionParser::parseLinks() in /home/rataciber/.composer/vendor/fxp/composer-asset-plugin/Repository/VcsPackageFilter.php on line 272

Self-update didn’t work, so you have to delete that directory manually.

sudo rm -rf $HOME/.composer/vendor/fxp/

And that’s it.

Sometimes goddamn ipv6 DNS lookups take too long. Some say it doesn’t slow the internet connection, but for me, well, it fucking does.

This is a copy/paste from this link.

To disable ipv6, you have to open /etc/sysctl.conf using any text editor and insert the following lines at the end:

net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.lo.disable_ipv6 = 1
If ipv6 is still not disabled, then the problem is that sysctl.conf is still not activated.

To solve this, open a terminal(Ctrl+Alt+T) and type the command,

sudo sysctl -p

You will see this in the terminal:

net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.lo.disable_ipv6 = 1

After that, if you run:

$ cat /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/all/disable_ipv6

It will report:

If you see 1, ipv6 has been successfully disabled.

Synergy allows the use of several monitors, share keyboard and mouse. You want a third monitor in your laptop? you got it, bruh.

But beware, you just need another computer in the same network. No big deal.

But sometimes can be a pain in the ass, because the client and server have to be the exact same version. This changes from repo to repo, but i got it to work with the next lines:

wget -q -O - http://archive.getdeb.net/getdeb-archive.key | sudo apt-key add -
sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu trusty-getdeb apps" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/getdeb.list'
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install synergy

Same versions, yo.
